can I call it “REST”?
I have been so bad about my marathon training for the past 3-4 weeks. I was doing really well with base building and getting my long run mileage up, though I did struggle with both temp and speed workouts due to the heat. But now we are 12 weeks out from the marathon - it’s time to start my serious training!
I am such an optimist that instead of thinking of July as falling off my training, I am going to think of it as the rest I needed in order to put in quality training for the marathon! I mean, it’s not like I sat on my butt and ate friend food the whole month (only 10 days of it!). I still got some swims, runs, walks, and strength workouts in.
So my 12 week marathon plan starts tomorrow! :) With no negativity about the past, just a positive outlook for the future!
